In  Fadels 3D Thematic studio she was required to make a sculpture out of found objects and “take it on a journey”. She chose cigarette buds as her object because of how unnoticed they go even though they are littered everywhere. Fadel wanted to explore the object’s history and how it went from being something that was idealized to something gross and trashy. She thought it would be ironic to make something that is considered classy and make it out of cigarette buds. Fadel collected cigarette butts from the streets of Cincinnati,  carefully shaping  them into a wearable garment.
